i’m not sure what happened as i dont follow too many people. based on your words though: it’s very difficult to gather tone or communication online. especially with strangers. in my experience, i always feel either too edgy or passive aggressive when i choose to use or not use emotes. at the end of the day though, it is very ridiculous to jump to conclusions about a persons tone and intention based on EMOJIS! i’m sure you get what i mean! this is yet one of the many examples of how the public internet, even neocities, isn’t a conducive place to communicate. :/ people will assume the worst and love to shit on others for terribly petty reasons. please don’t worry too much about whoever that is ^^

I appreciate the kind words. It is certainly difficult to deduce tone over text, especially in an age where emotes (which were originally created specifically to convey a certain tone) are often used passive-aggressively. I try to use emotes and exclamation points (!!!) to convey that I am pretty positive overall, but I suppose if someone doesn't look at my website or scroll down my profile they wouldn't really know that about me. It was a bit strange to me to jump straight to the "hostile" conclusion, but I understand how it could happen if you aren't in a great headspace. Overall, though, I have found Neocities to be the most positive online environment that I have encountered, and I have never decided to be hateful or passive-aggressive or mean to anyone on here -- and I plan for that to continue to be the case! I quite enjoy it here. Thank you for your words

I'd love to see a Microsoft Bob clone-- I hardly see anyone talk about it much at all, so experiencing it through Windows 99 would be exciting and I certainly can't take credit for the Wikipedia section of my site!! I used a template offered by html5-templates. Didn't wanna re-invent the wheel there! Super easy to customize, in my opinion.
